My artwork explores moments.

The name Golden Splash Studio references one of these fleeting scenes, the shining splash a jumping fish makes when reentering the water. Other examples include the way morning sun shines through a spiderweb or how a cloud shifts its shape in the wind.

My art is about drawing attention to the subtle magic of change through time.

My paintings center on views of the world up-close.

I focus in on miniature landscapes such as the ridged surface of an oak leaf, the grassy edge of a road, and most especially, the underwater gardens found in aquariums.

By painting tiny places, I celebrate the accessible wonder of examining the world near at-hand.
